Home Surveys

A RICS Home Survey report helps you understand the condition of a property before you commit to the purchase.

It identifies defects, allowing you to make informed decisions, plan for repairs, and negotiate on the sale if necessary.

The cost of the survey is small compared with the expense of unexpected problems and provides invaluable peace of mind.

Level 1

'Condition Report'

The RICS Level 1 Home Survey is the entry-level report ideal for newer homes or conventional properties. A Condition Report provides an efficient summary of issues without repair or replacement advice, images, or additional comments on material behaviours.

This survey provides a snapshot of the property’s overall condition, highlighting issues associated more with recently built properties, with a basic but direct approach.

"Choose the right Survey!"

It is important to understand that, no matter the level of the survey, the inspection process remains the same. All RICS surveys are considered ‘non-invasive’ inspections and do not involve the removal of fixtures or finishes. Selecting the appropriate survey depends on the depth of technical information and repair advice desired.

You need to consider several factors, including the property’s age, size, construction type, overall condition and the scale of modernisation or renovation if required. If you are unsure, ask our surveyor for further advice.

Investing in the right RICS home survey can save you from unexpected issues and unanticipated costs. Who ever you decide to choose conduct your survey, they should ideally be recommended by someone you know who is a member of the R.I.C.S with adequate experience in the field.
